Anneliese's Oven Baked Chicken Drumsticks

These drumsticks are so juicy, with great spices, and are a big hit with company. They take a full hour to bake, so make sure to pre-plan. The skin will have a nice crisp to it as well if you make sure to pat them dry before they go in the oven.

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages of chicken drumsticks

  • Olive Oil

  • Spices:

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Cayenne Pepper

  • McCormick Grill Masters Montreal Chicken Seasoning

  • Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning

  • Chopped garlic

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Rinse the drumsticks in cold water, then pat dry. The drier the chicken is, the crispier the skin will get.

  3. Coat the drumsticks in olive oil. Sprinkle on the above spices generously (salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, McCormick's chicken seasoning, garlic salt, and the creole seasoning).

  4. Flip the drumsticks, and coat the other side with the same spices and olive oil.

  5. Bake the drumsticks for 30 minutes. Flip them over, then bake for another 30 minutes. I always check the temperature with a thermometer to make sure they are done.
