Sausage Pinwheels

My mom used to make these for my brother and I on Christmas morning. They are relatively easy, and a nice change up for breakfast.

Did I mention it's only a two ingredient recipe?

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of Pillsbury crescent dough

  • 1 package of ground sausage (I use mild)

Directions:

  • Lay down foil on a baking sheet, and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Open the can of crescent dough and roll it out in its entirity. Pinch together the seams so it becomes one solid sheet of dough.

  • Spread out the package of ground sausauge on the crescent dough. Carefully roll up the dough/sausage to form one tube.

  • Stick it in the freezer for 10 mintues. This step is important to help you slice it, so it doesn't smush.

  • Take the roll out of the freezer, and slice it into individual rolls. Lay them out on the baking sheet.

  • Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
