Sausage Pinwheels
My mom used to make these for my brother and I on Christmas morning. They are relatively easy, and a nice change up for breakfast.
Did I mention it's only a two ingredient recipe?
Ingredients:
1 can of Pillsbury crescent dough
1 package of ground sausage (I use mild)
Directions:
Lay down foil on a baking sheet, and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Open the can of crescent dough and roll it out in its entirity. Pinch together the seams so it becomes one solid sheet of dough.
Spread out the package of ground sausauge on the crescent dough. Carefully roll up the dough/sausage to form one tube.
Stick it in the freezer for 10 mintues. This step is important to help you slice it, so it doesn't smush.
Take the roll out of the freezer, and slice it into individual rolls. Lay them out on the baking sheet.
Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
