BBQ Ribs

I was craving my mom's baby back BBQ ribs recently, so it seemed to be the perfect time to make them. The ingredients are simple, the wait time not so much :) But, by the time they are done, they will be incredibly tender and falling off the bone. The method: bake 'em, then grill 'em.

Ingredients:

2 Slabs of Baby Back Ribs

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1/2 cup Honey

1 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce (or substitute your own favorite)

Garlic

Salt & Pepper

First, place ribs in a baking pan lined with tin foil. I'd recommend one that has some depth because you will get some liquid as the ribs bake. Rub down the ribs with minced garlic (I buy mine in a jar at the store), add salt and pepper to taste to your meat.

In a separate bowl, mix a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice (take the minute to squeeze it yourself :)), and 1/2 cup of honey. Only use 3/4 of your bbq sauce mixture, and brush over both sides of the ribs. Make sure you use the full 3/4 of the sauce. Cover the ribs with tin foil. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for two and a half hours. Prepare for your house to smell AMAZING!

At the two and a half hour mark, pull the ribs out of the oven. Drain the excess liquid as needed. I cut the ribs in half, to make them more manageable on the grill. Heat

your grill up for ten minutes. Brush the ribs on both sides with the 1/4 of the sauce you have left. Grill them on medium high for about 7 minutes each side. When you flip them, brush with more BBQ sauce to keep them moist.
